I couldn’t believe it when I saw that capsicums were $13 a kilo here in the supermarkets (and what the supermarkets price their produce at is what our local grocers check and match…sigh…) which is a couple of dollars more than chook. It’s only when you look into how the chook is produced that you realise why it is so “cheap” to market. Why would anyone want to eat those poor tortured critters after seeing the deplorable conditions that they live in and you can only imagine how truly awful their artificial hormone and antibiotic pumped meat would be 😦
